Who to contact

O’Halligan Photography is the photography business of Shamus O’Halligan, based in Pennsylvania. For privacy questions, requests or changes to your preferences, email shamus@ohalliganphotography.com.

Information you provide

The contact form collects your name, email address, subject and message. Planning-call bookings through Calendly collect your name, email address, phone number and the session details you choose to provide. These may include preferred dates, locations, participants, project goals, accessibility or preparation needs, image-use plans and privacy preferences.

Booking records may also include contracts, invoices, session details, correspondence and information needed to deliver photographs or fulfill an order. Please share only information relevant to your inquiry or photography plans, and avoid unnecessary sensitive information.

How information is used

Information is used to respond to inquiries, plan and manage photography services, communicate about bookings, prepare agreements and invoices, deliver galleries, handle requests and support orders.

If you opt in, O’Halligan Photography may send marketing emails about its own services, session availability, prints and products, gallery releases, promotions, new offerings, Patreon/content announcements and related updates. Contact and booking forms offer optional marketing consent; submitting an inquiry or scheduling a call does not automatically opt you in.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe option in the message or by emailing shamus@ohalliganphotography.com. This does not stop practical messages needed for an inquiry, existing booking or order.

Services that help run the business

The website and contact form use Squarespace. Email to the photography business address is hosted through iCloud. Planning calls and their confirmation/reminder emails use Calendly. Galleries and the print shop use Pic-Time.

Information may be shared with service providers only when reasonably necessary to operate O’Halligan Photography or deliver its services, including website and gallery hosting, scheduling, payment processing, print fulfillment and email delivery or marketing services. For example, fulfillment may require a customer’s contact details, order and shipping address.

Client/contact information is not sold or shared with unrelated third parties for their own marketing. No session deposit is collected through Calendly; a payment link is emailed after the planning call. The payment service used is identified when that link is provided.

These providers also describe their own processing in their privacy notices: Squarespace, Apple/iCloud, Calendly and Pic-Time.

Website visits, cookies & other sites

Squarespace receives technical information needed to operate this website, such as browser/device and network details, IP addresses and pages visited. Squarespace Analytics is enabled and helps show site traffic and activity, including referral sources and interactions with pages.

The site uses functional cookies and Squarespace analytics cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect site features. The embedded Pic-Time gallery and linked services can receive technical information when they load or when you use them, and their own privacy notices and cookie controls apply.

How long records are kept

Delivered client galleries and final client files are retained for 90 days after delivery. Please download your photographs and keep your own backups during that period; permanent archival storage is not provided.

Booking records, contracts, invoices, session details and related client records are retained indefinitely unless deletion is required by law or the records are no longer reasonably needed. This is separate from the 90-day availability of delivered galleries and final client files.

Photograph privacy & your choices

O’Halligan Photography may use client photographs in its portfolio, website, social media and marketing unless you opt out in writing. You may request no public use of private or sensitive images. State your preference in the planning-call form or email it to Shamus. Marketing-email consent and permission to use photographs publicly are separate choices.
